Appeal Court Nullifies David Mark’s Election

A Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State has nullified the election of former senate president, David Mark.  The Makurdi division of the Court of Appeal on Saturday, ordered a re-run of the poll within 90 days.  The All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Benue South, Mr Donald Onjeh had challenged the decision of the National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld the victory of Senator Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).  Mr Onjeh’s lawyer, Adetunji Oso, also urged the Appellate Court to allow his appeal and set aside the decision of the Tribunal.  He said the court erred when it held that the papers tendered by his client were mere documentary hearsay.  The documents, according to Mr Oso, demonstrated that while the collation of results for the Benue South senatorial district’s election on March 28 was still ongoing in seven of the nine local government areas, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared Senator Mark winner of the poll. http://www.channelstv.com/2015/11/28/appeal-court-nullifies-david-marks-election/

"God Bless The Lovers of Truth" You Cannot Afford Not To Read This..........

“All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” – Arthur Schopenhauer  “I’m for truth, mo matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it’s for or against.”— – Malcom X  With trepidation, I have been watching the subtle descent into dictatorship by the administration of Muhammadu Buhari. I have been watching with disgust President Buhari’s war against freedom of speech. I am very concerned about desperate attempts by President Buhari and his sentries to muzzle the voice of self determination. I am very upset that a government of All Progressives Congress that claimed to love freedom is engaged in deliberate subjugation of innocent citizens who happens to have different views about the state of the polity.  I am very concerned that an innocent man is being denied his freedom. I am scared that an innocent man is being subjected to illegal detention. I am not comfortable that an innocent man is being tried for desiring freedom for his people. I am very disturbed that a non-violent man is being inflicted with unwarranted and undeserved travails. I am worried that a lot of unwary observers who are not properly schooled in the elementary tenets of democracy are vilifying an innocent man.  Nnamdi Kanu is an innocent man. He has not committed any crime to make him deserve the kind of treatment being meted out to him. You do not have to like Nnamdi Kanu. You do not have to agree with him or his desires for his people. But no one has the right to deny him his fundamental human right to be free. No one has the right to deny him the right to self-determine his destiny as he sees it or wants it. No one has the right to shut him up because they do not like what he is saying or because they feel threatened by what he is saying. http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/opinion-the-biafran-truth-and-the-illegal-trial-of-nnamdi-kanu-by-remi-oyeyemi.147114/

Mr. Kanu’s exploits are known to all and sundry. His desire is to have a homeland for his people. His desire is to free his people from the shackles of Nigeria. His desire is to see his people get to the promised land of Biafra. His dream is to see his people in control of their own destiny. His desire is to have a say in who governs him and his people. His desire is to ensure that no oligarchy or neo-oligarchic interests within the Ndigbo homeland is able to hold his people in bondage. His desire is to be able to water the tree of liberty for his people. There is nothing criminal in or about all this.  In all this, he has only employed semantics. He has only deployed sophistry. He had only appropriated the airwaves to be able to reach his people. He has not acquired arms. He has not killed anybody. He has not declared any armed war against anyone or organization. The only war he has ever declared is against the continued subjugation, enslavement and denigration of his Igbo people. It is a war of idea. A war of and for the minds of his people to see what he is seeing, to desire what he is desiring, to dream what he is dreaming. And he is doing that peacefully. He has been able to make his case to the majority of Ndigbo and the youths of that nation who are indeed the future of Biafra.  He is mobilizing his people to engage in the struggle to be free from their enslavement by the Nigerian State. He is making a clarion call for his people to stand up for their rights and self determine their destinies, or collective destiny. He has been innovative. He has been peaceful. He has been determined. He has been methodical. He has been deliberate. He has been consistent. He has persevered. And he is making sacrifices. There is nothing criminal in or about this.  Nnamdi Kanu has a dream: a dream of Biafra. He has a dream of the land of the Rising Sun; where there is freedom and liberty; a dream of Biafra where the people are free to be in control of their own destinies. He has a dream of Biafra where the sons and daughters of Biafra can reach for the sky and penetrate the heavens. He has a dream of Biafra where there would not be a despicable federal character that denies the talented and the gifted of Ndigbo the opportunity to achieve their potential. He has a dream where Biafra would be able to take its rightful place in the comity of nations. There is nothing criminal in or about any of this.  So far, apart from those benefiting from the miseries of the Ndigbo nation; apart from the sentries of the status quo; apart from the carpetbaggers and political dealers of the Nigerian State; apart from the scallywags and scared agents of the Nigerian State, Nnamdi Kanu is beloved by the majority of his Ndigbo people and every lover of freedom across the world. If anyone is in doubt of this claim, they should call for the referendum of the people of the Igbo Nation. This would settle the case at least for a while. Even, if Nnamdi Kanu is a minority voice, he is still entitled to his freedom of speech, freedom to desire, freedom of association, freedom to seek liberation for the people who may or may not want it. The fact that not many people really cares about “heaven” as the Christians call it, or “Aljana” as the Muslims call it has not stopped the Pastors, Evangelists, Reverends and the Imams from preaching their beliefs. Nnamdi Kanu should be allowed to preach his Biafran Gospel. The Ndigbo have the right to believe him or ignore him. They have the choice to follow him or reject him.  The continued detention and trial of Mr. Kanu by this administration is illegal. It is uncalled for in a free society. It is unwarranted in a democracy. It is unfair to any man or woman. It is illegal. It is unacceptable. We do not have to agree with Mr. Kanu before we all protect his rights. We do not all have to believe in Biafra before we protect his freedom. We do not have to be Igbo to protect his desire for self determination for himself and his people. We all must champion his freedom from illegal detention and trial.  From what has transpired so far, it all looks like an oligarchic conspiracy. Everything is pointing to signs of fear by the enslavers within the Nigerian State. It is suggestive that some neo-colonialists who control the levers of power of the Nigerian State are scared stiff of Biafra and other growing voices of freedom from the subjugation of the Nigerian State. The Hausa-Fulani neo-colonialists and their sentries in Yoruba land, Igbo land and Birom land, Nupe land, Kataf land, Mumuye land, Kanuri land among several others are jittery.  They are not only jittery, they are panicking. They are scared that the slaves are about to break free. They are afraid that the slaves are about to do away with their shackles and chains. They are nervous that the captives are about to break down the walls of subjugation. The dilating dawn of freedom is drowning their deceit and duplicity. They are brimming with tension. They are threatening violence against non-violence agitation. They are murdering freedom fighters and stigmatizing them as criminals. They are shooting and maiming freedom fighters and stigmatizing them as troublemakers. They are resorting to everything and anything to hold on to a modernized feudalism euphemized as “democracy.”  Nnamdi Kanu should not worry about his being detained if he is reading this.He should not be concerned about his trial. This is a battle between body and mind. It is a battle between injustice and justice. It is a battle between matter and spirit. In all these battles, the mind would overcome the body, justice will vanquish injustice and spirit will defeat matter. This is because Nnamdi Kanu represents an idea. It is an idea whose time has come.  Though, the Biafra idea might not be Kanu’s originally, he is, as at present, the physical representative of that idea. It is not this idea that has created the present crisis. It is the crisis of the Nigerian State that has created the Biafran idea. The Nigerian state and its odious purveyors may be able to subjugate your body, they may be able to vilify and malign your name for desiring freedom for your people, but they would not, should not and must not be able to destroy your spirit. They would not be able to defeat the idea of Biafra. The only people who would be able to defeat the Biafran idea are the Biafran people if they choose to. Otherwise, any effort on the part of the decadent Nigerian State would come to futility. It is a matter of time. Not a matter of if.  For those who believe in the truths of Biafra as a Nation, they should remember the words of Elvis Presley, the American music icon, “Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain’t going away.” The land of the Rising Sun is not going away.Nnamdi Kanu is not going away. The desire for self determination is not going away. The determination to be free from the shackles of the Nigerian State is not going away. Biafra is not going away.  You can take Nnamdi Kanu’s body out of circulation. You can imprison him. You can try him several times over. You can shoot, maim, kill and or murder his followers and those who believe in him, but what he stands for, Biafra, is not going away. Biafra was conceived as an idea. The obnoxious Nigerian State is its incorrigible catalyst. Then it became a belief. It has become a dream of all proud Ndigbo. It is a dream contextualized in reality. It is going to be achieved.  To someone like me, who believes fervently in Oodua, who prays for and preaches for the advent of an Oodua Nation, free from neo-colonialism, unbounded from the curse and shackles of the Nigerian State, Nnamdi Kanu is an inspiration. For someone like me, who believes that the emergence of an independent Oodua Nation is inevitable, Mr. Kanu is an inspiration regardless of what his detractors or enemies might say. He inspires me like Obafemi Awolowo inspires me. He inspires me like Nnamdi Azikwe inspires me.He inspires me like Mahatma Gandhi inspires me. He inspires me like Kwameh Nkrumah inspires me. He inspires me like Jomo Kenyatta inspires me. He inspires me like Kenneth Kaunda inspires me. He inspires me like Thomas Jefferson inspires me.  The Nigerian State has a date with its destiny which is its eventual balkanization. But Biafra and Oodua Nations have dates not just with their destinies, but also with History. It is inevitable and it is unstoppable.  “In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility – I welcome it.” – John F. Kennedy, in his Inaugural Address January 20, 1961

Biafra: IPOB Lambasts South-East Governors, Elders, Ohanaeze And Other Political Jobbers.

From Emmanuel Uzor, Abakaliki  Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has disowned the South-East Governors’ Forum, elders and Ohanaeze over their alleged role in the agitation for the release of the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. Mr. Emma Powerful, leader of the group said this in a statement on the heels of a warning from Anthony Nwoko, an Enugu-based prophet to President Muhammdu Buhari to desist from truncating the actualisation of a Biafra state. Powerful said IPOB rejected South-East Governors’ Forum and Ohanaeze stance on the continued incarceration of Kanu and warned the groups to desist from sabotaging the efforts of IPOB. He described the groups as “disappointments to Ndigbo and Biafrans in general,” adding: “They can only be talking about an unconditional release of Kanu and not try to stop Biafra peaceful protests, “We will not stop until our leader is released unconditionally. Those claiming they are representing IPOB should desist from it because we don’t know them. Those calling only Igbo should know that Igbo is a language in Biafra and we have 11 tribes in Biafra land.” On his part, Nwoko warned Buhari to expedite Kanu’s release or “Heaven will strike against his administration…” Prophet Nwoko further called on the federal government to desist from killing, terrorizing and intimidating indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and the Igbo nation as such action was inimical to the growth and development of the country.  He expressed optimism that in 2019, an Igbo man would emerge as the next President of the country adding that God has chosen him to alleviate the suffering of the Igbo race and restore the lost glory of the nation.  “Buhari should release Nnamdi Kanu immediately or face the wrath of Heaven. Buhari is not spiritually qualified to lead the nation and he is not the expected Prince of Peace. He is not the messiah the country is waiting for. He does not possess the heavenly gift to liberate Nigeria”.  He lambasted the administration of President Buhari for marginalizing the Igbos especially in the aspect of appointments, insisting that President Buhari was not the messiah sent to change the economic misfortunes of Nigeria and Nigerians.  “The next President of Nigeria will come from the South East of Nigeria; South Easterners are the light of the country. Anyone fighting them is in darkness. This message is for the five Governors of the South East, the Ohaneze Ndigbo, Igbo politicians among others”.http://sunnewsonline.com/new/biafra-ipob-disowns-south-east-governors-elders-ohanaeze/

I am currently suffering from a heavy heart full of disappoint with these red cap chiefs at the moment because I want their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to be free of this mental and physical slavery. I want a better future for them.i want a generation of great men and women ahead of them as their parents were going up and down eating with the enemies of their futures, selling their birthright to those that hated them with passion.  I am Nnamdi Kanu, what have I done wrong to you all that hated me with passion? You that is reading this message have I ever offended you by standing gallantly fighting from the future of your yet unborn children? Do you know that I love you from the depth of my heart?  Before I came, there was nothing like (IPOB) ,but Under my leadership it was established, and UNITED NATIONA gave us observation status as the Indigenous people of Biafra duly registered and they gave us right to agitate for our freedom. Do you know that freedom fighting is legal? Do you know that all the great nations today fought and gain their freedom through this same process we are taking ?why re you then afraid to join this movement when you have your right to do so?  Before I came, there was no radio station speaking, protecting and propagating the affair of the Indigenous People of Biafra to the world, you were formally in darkness, and I brought light unto you through Radio Biafra with the help of my Deputy Mazi Uche mefor and Barrister Emma Mezu. And you can see the effect today.  Do you know that I left my business and luxurious life i should enjoy as a Prince born and brought up in a palace , now I am from a Palace to Prison just because of my Love for you and your generation.  Before I came, they said we hated each others and were never united, under my watch I created what we called (IPOB FAMILY MEETINGS ) in over 90 countries of the world and counting. This had never happened before I came.  Before I came the blood of the 5.2 million Biafrans killed during the Pogrom committed against us back in 1967/1970 was crying for vengeance and freedom from the land of the spirit, no one remembered to give them a befitting burial until we came and led that memorial right giving to them, a cenotaph was built in their remembrance that was later destroyed by the enemies of Light.  Before I came, the (word) "Biafra" was like a taboo before many people due to fear of being arrest by the Nigerian police and military agent, Today you can be proud to say you are a Biafra even before a battalion of Soldiers without been afraid or harmed.  Before I came, the (word) "Biafra" was not recognized by MS WORD (MICROSOFT WORD). But today you can type in the WORD (Biafra), and it won't be underlined, it will be recognized.  Before I came, Many people thought and believed that Biafra is of the Igbo speaking people alone, little did they knew that a man from Ijaw, Igede, Isobo, Igbanke, Igboakiri, Ibibio ETC 're more Biafran than the IGBO speaking Biafra because these are the same family from the same Progenitor (GAD) the father of (ERI, ARELI AND ARODI) . Today they are reuniting and recognizing themselves as one Big and Happy family of GOD (UMUCHINEKE).  Before I came, the mighty world media such as BBC, CNN, ALJAZEERA, FRANCE 24, etc. were not talking about Biafra, but today Biafra restoration program has been their HEADLINES and topics.  I am held against my wish, when I appeared in the Court on 23rd of November, (I SPOKE TO YOU ALL DIE HEARD BIAFRANS IN SILENCE) when I raise my two hands UP clinched my palms together in unification and signs for FREEDOM AND STRENGTH , I HOPE YOU ALL HEARD AND UNDERSTOOD WHAT I SAID? I HOPE YOU UNDERSTOOD the sign ? for those who does not decode my signs, I was directly talking to you all saying BE STRONG, THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES.   When I saw and heard the voice of the crowd chanting my names and singing Biafra freedom song within the court premises that day in ABUJA, MY heart was ever more stronger than it was, i smile and say YES they are formidable indeed. I knew you people will never disappoint me because I am here for the sake of you and your generation unborn.  I am here because I LOVE YOU ALL, I am here because of you even those that hated me with passion, I am here because I trust in your togetherness and one voice for my freedom and that of all Biafrans.   I knew that everyone will not be a freedom Fighter but if record has it that only 3% of AMERICANS supported their freedom firing led by JOHN WASHINGTON and their freedom was finally granted unto them through war, how much more the mammoth crowd of BIAFRANs both home an abroad? to all of you Brave men and women who have stood gallantly in support of this movement that will lead to our total sovereignty. I want to say, thank you, thank you to our MOTHERS, from AKWA-IBOM. CROSS RIVERS, RIVERS, BAYELSA, DELTA, EBONYI, ENUGU, ANAMBRA, IMO AND ABIA STATE, I am grateful for all our mothers because you gave birth to these great men and women of honor, those sons, and daughters that always protest for my release under the Sun and rain .My thanks to all the fathers too who allowed their children to join (IPOB MEETINGS) across Biafra Land.  FIGHT ON THE CHILDREN OF LIGHT, LET THE STRUGGLE CONTINUE, DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THOSE THAT MAY COME WITH BRIBE MONEY, WHICH THEY HAVE STOLEN FROM YOUR LAND.  FIGHT ON THE GREAT PEOPLE FROM THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN. FIGHT ON UNTIL THIS CHAIN OF SLAVERY is completely BROKEN. I ASSURE YOU THAT THE CHAIN IS BROKEN ALREADY WE NEED TO PUSH MORE HARDER UNTIL ITS TOTALLY REMOVED FROM OUR HANDS AND LEGS.  I AM NNAMDI KANU; I AM READY TO DIE FOR BIAFRA, IF YOU ARE A REAL SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF BIAFRA , IF YOU ARE YOU READY TO DIE FOR YOUR FREEDOM? IT IS TE RIGHT TIME TO JOIN THIS STRUGGLE NOW.  MY TEARS OF JOY WAS UNCONTROLLABLE WHEN I GOT BACK TO MY PRISON, REMEMBERING THE NOICE AND THE FACES OF THE MARGINALIZED AND OPPEREST PEOPLE I AM FIGHTING FOR, IT LIFTED MY SPIRIT SO HIGH, I AM NOW CONFIDENT THAT I HAVE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHOM I SHALL ALWAYS BE PROUD OF  MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL AS YOU FIGHT ON.  I AM NNAMDI KANU I NEED MY FREEDOM AND THAT OF MY PEOPLE THE BIAFRANS.  #FREENNAMDIKANU  #FREEBIAFRAN  #Spread this message for every BIAFRAN to read an have a copy of it now. let it go viral in all social media and let every one come out on every protest organized and signed by the Directorate of states of (IPOB) that is coming up in Biafra land soon .let the market women and men join and close down their shops because out freedom is greater than our businesses.i want you all to know that the world is watching .ignore those bought by the oppressive state on Nigeria. Fight for your freedom now.  BY- Mazi Okpala-Eze Chukwubuikem

Explosion Rocks Presidential Guards, 12 Killed

A bus carrying presidential guards in Tunisia was rocked by an explosion on Tuesday, November 24, killing 12 people and leaving 20 others injured.  Officials say there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack against the presidential guard.  Walid Louguini, spokesman for the Tunisian interior ministry, told the Associated Press that at least 12 people were killed  Louguini also affirmed that no fewer than 20 others were wounded in the attack.  READ ALSO: Biafra: Protesters Prepare For Massive Lagos Showdown  A witness, Bassem Trifi, said the explosion hit the driver’s side of the bus. He described the scene as “catastrophic”.  He said: “I saw at least five corpses on the ground,” adding: “This was not an ordinary explosion.”  A few days earlier, the authorities had increased the security level in the capital and deployed security forces in large numbers.  Mark Toner, the US state department spokesman speaking in Washington, said the US government was still seeking details on what had happened in Tunis.  Toner further added: “We strongly condemn the attack.”  Following the explosion, President Beji Caid Essebsi, who was not on the bus at the time, declared a 30-day state of emergency across the country and imposed an overnight curfew for the capital.  READ ALSO: Why ISIS May Attack Nigeria Soon – Intelligence Report  He convened an emergency meeting of his security council for Wednesday, November 25.  Speaking on national television, Essebsi said: “Tunisia is at war against terrorism.” He urged international cooperation against extremists who have killed hundreds around Europe and the middle-east in recent weeks, from Paris to Beirut to a Russian plane shot down over Egypt.  “I want to reassure the Tunisian people that we will vanquish terrorism,” he added.  Tunisia is the only Arab Spring country to have solidified a new democracy. However, the nation is facing serious economic and security challenges.  In June, shootings at a luxury beach hotel in Sousse, left 38 people dead, mostly tourists.  Also in March, an attack by Islamist extremists at the famed Bardo museum near the capital killed 22 people.  The two acts of terrorism this year have left a great dent in Tunisia’s tourism industry.https://www.naij.com/647793-explosion-rocks-presidential-guards-12-killed-20-wounded.html/?soonest&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic&utm_group=free

5 Igbos Killed For Failing To Recite Quran. Find Out More!!!

By WOLE MOSADOMI The five people believed to be Igbo traders were said to have been shot dead at Madala Market on Thursday Night between 7 – 8pm.  Our correspondent reliably gathered that the yet to be identified gunmen were said to have stormed the Madala market and made straight to a shop believed to be that of some Igbo traders and ordered them to recite the Holy Quran of which they could not.  The gunmen who were not satisfied with the development opened fire on the five people at close range leaving them dead immediately.  An alarm which was raised by other traders close to the shop where the five people were killed attracted passers by who sent a distress call to the Divisional Police Officer Suleja where a detachment of armed police were drafted to the scene.  However, before the police men could arrive the spot, the gunmen had already fled, leaving their casualties in their own blood.  The five casualties were later identified as John Kalu, Oliver Ezemah, Uche Nguweze, Sunday Emmanuel while fifth casualty was yet to be identified as at the time of going to press.  The identity of the gunmen are yet to be ascertained by people of the town and even the police who have swung into investigation.  An eye witness account told our correspondent no valuables were removed from the shop of the victims after they might have been gun down which invariably confirms that the gunmen were not armed robbers but suspected to be Boko Haram sect members.  Niger State police Command spokesman ASP Richard Adamu Oguche confirmed the story but could not also ascertain the originality of the gunmen.  He assured that police in the state are on top of the issue and called on the people in the state  Source : Vanguardhttp://www.igberetvnews.com/?p=27116

Details Of How Abubakar Audu APC Governor Elect In Kogi State Was Poisoned

According to Sahara Reporters, Audu died around 5 am on Sunday, November 22. In what was considered a bizarre occurrence, his health had suddenly started to deteriorate on the night of Friday, November 20 when he started vomiting blood.
A family source said:  “He started vomiting blood after he returned from Lokoja,”  The family source said that the late politician was very tired on the morning of the Election Day, Saturday, November 21 and doctors had to give him blood transfusion which provided him with enough strength to go to his home town in Ogbonicha to cast his vote.  The source added that when he returned to his home, he started vomiting again.  “After a while he became unconscious and died around 5 a.m. on Sunday morning,”  According to the source, Audu had died before the collation and announcement of the result of the election which was later declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  An INEC source also said that INEC officials were aware of Audu’s death before the announcement of the results. The late politician is expected to be buried on Monday, November 23 in his home town according to Islamic rites  According to Premium Times, a familiy source revealed that mourners had started to gather at the house of the late politician.  “I am aware that right now so many people have gathered in his house and they are weeping seriously,”  “As a Muslim he would be buried at 10 am tomorrow morning.”https://www.naij.com/645399-revealed-abubakar-audu-died.html

Rejoicing continues but Audu not in sight.  Earlier at 12.32, a mammoth crowd besieged the residence of the late Abubakar Audu as they await the corpse to be brought out of his room. ‎Angry relatives banged hard at the door trying to force it open.  ‎Interesting twist as prophet seeks to pray for Audu’s corpse and bring him back to life, security inside and his family members would have none of it but angry youths break the door open.
‎The prayer man successfully and forcefully taken into the room by the crowd and they joined in the prayers for the resurrection of Audu with Holy Ghost fire renting the air as well as shouts of Allahu Akbar.  Senator ‎Dino Melaye and some family members came out through the back door to calm the angry crowd. While many are largely engaged in fervent prayers others are weeping loudly by the door.  No official word only a shut door and a waiting crowd, both Christians and Muslims.  ‎As men and women of faith engage in fervent prayers to bring Audu back to life, men are digging his grave in one end of the compound. The grave diggers are not sure of the story that Audu is back to life.  ‎Uproar as news filters in that he has risen. No official confirmation yet from his family. The saga continues…http://spynigeria.com/just-in-apc-candidate-prince-audu-has-resurrected-spy-nigeria/

Isreali Sat link That Was Bought Over By Nigeria To Stop Radio Biafra Has Disappeared In The Orbit

The Israeli satellite "Satlink" that radio Biafra was using for hosting internet radio  has crashed.

The Satellite disappeared in the orbit few months
after Satlink was bought over by the Nigeria government to stop
carrying content for Radio Biafra on Amos 5 satellite, the satellite crashed.

So the business is over for Satlink with respect to this satellite.
Those who align themselves with, or allow themselves to be used by, haters of
Biafra will suffer loses. Biafra is not a mere agitation. God has given approval
for it.
Even all those governors policemen and saboteurs fighting Biafra you are all doomed
 Aka Chukwu di na ya!

Israeli satellite Amos 5 goes incommunicado  Communications satellite's owner, Spacecom, has no explanation for loss of contact, expects that even a total loss will have only a minor effect on finances • Amos 5 was launched in 2011 and generates $40 million in Internet and TV orders annually. Ilan Gattegno  The Amos 5 satellite | Photo credit: Reuters  Customers whose communication services are provided by Israel's Amos 5 satellite found themselves at loose ends on Saturday when contact with the satellite was lost at 6:45 a.m.  In a report to investors and the Israel Stock Exchange, Spacecom, which owns the Amos 5, said it had no explanation for what specifically had caused it to lose contact with the satellite. A mechanical failure, a short circuit, or being struck by a meteor or space junk are all possibilities.  Amos 5, which was launched in 2011, includes 68 segments and covers the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. According to Spacecom records, Amos 5 has generated a total of $140 million in service orders. The satellite generates some $40 million in revenue annually and its worth is assessed at between $190 and $160 million.  Amos 5 is insured by an international syndicate for $158 million. In the letter to investors, Spacecom stated that initial calculations indicated that a total failure of the satellite would have only a marginal effect on the company's capital.  Eurocom Group, which holds the rights to the satellite's position at 17 degrees east will now have to locate a replacement satellite. A new satellite can be built and launched, or another satellite already in space and available for purchase can be acquired and moved into position to continue providing Internet and television services to the African market.  Only last week, reports were published that Spacecom had been contracted to provide television and Internet services to Cameroon.  The news that contact with Amos 5 has been lost comes as Eurocom, which owns 64.5% of Spacecom, is in the process of selling the company, whose market value recently stood at 1.1 billion shekels ($280 million).http://www.israelhayom.com/site/newsletter_article.php?id=29849

IPOB Deconstructs Mbaka, says Biafra more than money

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has reacted to a recent comment credited to Enugu-based fire-brand catholic priest, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, where he called on the pro-Biafran youths protesting for the immediate release of Radio Biafra Director and Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, to go back to their businesses as the protests could lead to their death. Mbaka  Mbaka  During a sermon at his weekly Adoration Ministry, Mbaka was said to had criticised Biafra supporters who embarked on the massive protests across South-East and South-South states, to demand Kanu’s immediate release.  Kanu is still being held in detention by the Department of State Services, despite having been granted bail by the court.  Mbaka had said: “Locking up your shops and disrupting economic activities will not add any naira to your pocket, whatever grievance you have could be resolved through dialogue,’’ he said.  However, responding to Mbaka, in a broadcast on Biafra Radio, IPOB denounced him as a compromised priest speaking from both sides of his mouth. Press release statement by Egechukwu Obetta, lawyer representing IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu

Egechukwu Obetta, lawyer of Nnamdi Kanu, freedom broadcaster, Radio Biafra, issues important statement on client (Saturday 14 November 2015) The full text of recently released statement by Egechukwu Obetta, lawyer representing Nnamdi Kanu, freedom journalist who supports Biafran independence, currently detained illegally by Nigeria (Nnamdi Kanu: freedom broadcaster, Radio Biafra) IN THE MATTER OF STATE SECURITY SERVICE (SSS) AND MAZI NNAMDI KANU: PROGRESS REPORT Preamble We are Solicitors to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader/Director of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), and Radio Biafra, respectively. He has retained our services and it is on this basis that we act. He shall hereinafter be referred to as “our client”. According to our client, he was, on 14th October, 2015, arrested by the agents of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the State Security Service (SSS) in his hotel room i.e. Golden Tulip Essential Hotel Ikeja, Lagos State. Between 14th and 17th October, 2015 his where about were unknown until 18th of October, 2015, when the Press Media broke the news of his arrest and detention by the SSS in Abuja. He was subsequently arraigned on three count charges of Criminal Conspiracy, Managing and Belonging to an Unlawful Society; Criminal Conspiracy and Intimidation – these offences are in the category of simple offences (misdemeanor) hence bailable. The following are highlights of our stewardship in the last two weeks:- Our client was arrested by the agents of the State Security Services in his hotel room at Ikeja, Lagos state on Wednesday the 14th day of October, 2015 on suspicion of belonging to an unlawful society, criminal conspiracy and intimidation which are all bail able misdemeanor offences. Please find attached copy of the charge sheet, marked as exhibit. He has been held incommunicado by the SSS ever since his arrest on the 14thday of October, 2015, and has been denied access to his physician and legal representatives even though the SSS has been fully apprised of the fact that he suffers from severe peptic ulcer and requires constant medication. Due to the public outcry and the effort by our firm, the SSS on 19th of October, 2015 hurriedly arraigned our client on the aforementioned charges i.e. belonging to an unlawful society, criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation which are bailable misdemeanor offences. The Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Wuse II, Abuja, on 19th of October, 2015 granted our client bail in the most stringent condition of N10, 000,000 (ten million naira only) with one surety of grade level 16 in like sum and must be an owner of a landed property with an original, Certificate of Occupancy, within the Federal Capital Territory and for such landed property to be verified by the Prosecution from the State Security Service. On 20th of October 2015 our Firm managed to meet with the bail conditions and duly informed the Prosecutor from the State Security Service as was ordered by the court. Since 20th of October, 2015, the Prosecutor stoutly refused to conduct the said search and verification in a grand ploy to indefinitely detain our client extra-judicially and in flagrant violation of the Order of a Court of competent jurisdiction despite the fact that the bail conditions set by the courMiffed by the refusal by the Prosecutor to verify the property, our firm Egechukwu Obetta&Co. brought an application to the trial Magistrate on the 23rd of October, 2015, praying the court to make an order that our client should be produced from prison. The Presiding Magistrate in response to our prayers issued an unambiguous and compelling Production Order for the SSS to produce Mazi Nnamdi Kanu before the Magistrate Court on the same date and explain why it failed to release him upon meeting the imposed bail conditions. Find the attached copy of the Order. He has been held incommunicado by the SSS ever since his arrest on the 14thday of October, 2015, and has been denied access to his physician and legal representatives even though the SSS has been fully apprised of the fact that he suffers from severe peptic ulcer and requires constant medication. Since 20th of October, 2015, the Prosecutor stoutly refused to conduct the said search and verification in a grand ploy to indefinitely detain our client extra-judicially and in flagrant violation of the Order of a Court of competent jurisdiction despite the fact that the bail conditions set by the court have been met and irrespective of the fact that the liberty of a citizen is in issue. Miffed by the refusal by the Prosecutor to verify the property, our firm Egechukwu Obetta&Co. brought an application to the trial Magistrate on the 23rd of October, 2015, praying the court to make an order that our client should be produced from prison. The Production Order was communicated to the SSS by the court bailiff and the Police Orderly attached to the court immediately on the same 23rd October 2015. Regrettably the court bailiff together with the Police Orderly detailed by the court was sent back by the SSS and the Order was fragrantly disobeyed with impurity. As it stands, our client has fulfilled the bail condition set by the court whereat he was charged with the aforementioned criminal offences. The continued and unlawful incarceration of our client by the SSS defies all known democratic and constitutional provisions of the law, standards and rules set to safeguard the fundamental rights of citizens. The SSS has no legal basis for the continued incarceration of our client whose health is severely deteriorating under the harsh and inhumane conditions that he is been held. During this period, we have had intervening meetings/interviews with foreign government representatives such as representatives of the British Consulate, the U.S. Foreign Office, Amnesty International as well as Inter-society. We have also had series of press briefings/conferences with both the Nigeria Press Media and foreign-based media outfit such as Sahara Reporters and the Associated Press of South Africa. These were meant to add color of publicity in our tireless pursuit of our client assertion of his right to bail. Our next moves In view of the contemptuous attitude of the Federal Government’s (SSS) and their flagrant disobedience to Court Orders in this case, and the concomitant ridicule it has brought to the Judiciary, our firm intends to explore the following avenues :- Host a meeting of representatives of all the non-governmental organizations in Nigeria. Petition the Chief Justice of Nigeria, National Human Rights Commission, the National Assembly and the Nigeria Bar Association. We are also preparing our brief to drag the Federal Government of Nigeria nay the SSS to the ECOWAS COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS to ventilate our clients’ right to personal liberty, freedom of expression, dignity of human person and equality before the law. For emphasis It should be noted that within the interval of eight days we have applied and gotten three Orders of Court against the SSS compelling them to release, produce or transfer our client to the prisons. It is heartrending to say that despite all the Court Orders emanating from a court of competent jurisdiction, the Department of State Security Service have wilfully refused to obey these order(s). This is our stewardship in the last two weeks in respect of this matter. Many Thanks, Vincent Egechukwu Obetta, Egechukwu Obetta & Co. No. 44 Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugut have been met and irrespective of the fact that the liberty of a citizen is in issue.http://www.thebiafratimes.co/2015/11/press-release-statement-by-egechukwu.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook&m=1

The Shepherd Finally Abandons His Sheep In chase Of A Grasscoter As Father Mbaka Declares His Stand in Biafra Agitation

A Catholic Priest in Enugu, Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka has condemned the recent agitation and protests for Biafra nation describing the action as `evil.’  Reverend Fr. Ejike MbakaReverend Fr. Ejike Mbaka  Mbaka made the condemnation in Enugu on Saturday in a sermon at his weekly Adoration Ministry.  The cleric urged youths in the South East and South-South to go back to their business as the protest could lead to their death.  “Locking up your shops and disrupting economic activities will not add any naira to your pocket, whatever grievance you have could be resolved through dialogue,’’ the cleric said.  He lambasted those leaders that were behind the agitation and protests, saying that they should use their children for the struggle.  Mbaka commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing ministers from the zone and assigning them with good portfolios.  “President Buhari’s action has proven that the South East has not been marginalized. I would have reacted if no minister emerged from the zone,’’ he said.  He said that the five states in the zone had minister each as prescribed by the Nigerian constitution as well as other key security and protocol officers that serves under president and his wife.  The reverend father attributed the recent free health screening initiative by the Wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari, in Enugu to her love for the people of the region.  He blamed the Igbo leaders for not living up to the expectation of the people in the area, adding that past governors, National Assembly members failed woefully in discharging their mandates.  “President Buhari is not the cause of poor roads, unemployment and other decay infrastructures in the south east, we should blame our leaders.  “Most of the roads had been awarded but our leaders squandered the fund, even the university teaching hospital in Enugu is a no-go-area and our leaders are not concerned about it,” he said.  Mbaka called on the new Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, to use his office to employ youths in the zone, adding that it would stop what he called another Boko Haram in the south east if not curtailed.  He praised Buhari’s war against corruption, saying it had enthroned due process and sanity in governance.  The cleric, however, urged Nigerians to be patient with the president as he had good plans for the country.http://saharareporters.com/2015/11/14/father-mbaka-says-biafra-protests-are-evil

Face to face with Nnamdi Kanu, the man behind Radio Biafra

BY ONUOHA UKEH  Until last month when Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, director, Radio Biafra, was arrested in Lagos, only a few people knew about the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group interested in the actualisation of a separate home state for the Igbo. Today, that hitherto obscured group has come to national limelight, with the “release Nnamdi Kanu” protests across the South East and South South.  Indeed, since Kanu was arrested in a Lagos hotel, a few hours after he arrived the country, members of the IPOB have marched in the streets of Port Harcourt, Aba, Asaba, Enugu, Awka and other cities, to register their anger over his detention. With what is happening, you could wonder how Kanu, who lives in London, was able to have such followership, which is becoming a movement.  When the news of Kanu’s arrest broke, I remembered the first time I met him in London, three years ago. It was a chanced meeting made possible by a man I knew in the course of my job and who, incidentally, knows Kanu. He also lives in London as Kanu. I had travelled to Britain on vacation and called Chukwuma to tell him I was in London. He promised to make out time and see me. The meeting did not hold until about one week. It was a cold Sunday afternoon in September 2012. Chukwuma had called me on phone to announce that he was coming to where I lodged. Since I had a shopping programme that day, I told him I would not be in. I had scheduled that Sunday to go to the famous Liverpool “Sunday Market,” in London to do some shopping. He volunteered to meet me there in the afternoon, after I would have finished my business.  As promised, my friend was at Liverpool Station, in Central London, our agreed rendezvous. When we met, the first time actually as we had been speaking on phone, he told me he was going to introduce me to somebody I may have heard of, who was in a car parked some metres away. We trekked from the Liverpool Station to the car in that freezing weather. In the car was this young man, handsome, smartly dressed and soft-spoken.  My friend had introduced him as Nnamdi Kanu, director of Radio Biafra. It was a pleasant surprise that I was face-to-face, on a platter of gold, with the man behind Radio Biafra, a station, which, at that time, was becoming popular among Igbo across the world. As a journalist and Editor, Saturday Sun at that time, I saw a big news and considered myself lucky. I had instantly asked for an interview, which Kanu approved, but said it would hold in Nigeria when he visited. He eventually visited at about March/April in 2013 and Saturday Sun, which I edited, interviewed him in Lagos.  On that Sunday, in London, Kanu had offered to give me lunch, in a place where we would sit down and have an informal chat. He drove around Central London, to find a restaurant. It took us some time, owing to parking, which is a problem in Central London. Eventually, we ended at a Spanish restaurant, in a street we were lucky to get parking space. Chukwuma had recommended Paola, a Spanish delicacy, which I could not eat eventually. In the Paola, there is rice and half cooked seafood in shells, which I did not find funny. As I pretended to be eating the Paola, we talked, I had sized Kanu up. He’s a smart youngman, well-schooled, likeable and passionate about what he was doing. From the way he spoke, one could see his passion to see that Igbo are better treated and recognised. He spoke of deprivation and marginalisation of Igbo. He was angry with many Nigerians, including Igbo bigwigs, who he said had sold out.  Kanu told me about his relationship with the late Ikemba Nnewi, who led the defunct Republic of Biafra, during the civil war. He spoke of a meeting he and others had with Ojukwu in London, where the late Biafra leader talked about a successor. He boasted how he and his group members made it possible for Ojukwu to appear on BBC’s Hard Talk.  I remember him asking no one in particular: “Who has ever organised Ojukwu to appear on BBC’s Hard Talk? We did it. Nobody has done that for him before. We in London did it. The fact that we don’t shout and come to newspaper all the time doesn’t mean we don’t know what we are doing.”  I must say that before then, the talk about Biafra was synonymous with MASSOB (Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra). Nothing much was heard of IPOB. The other group, which reared its head was Biafran Zionist Movement. However, from what Kanu told me at the meeting, IPOB was getting more global interest than the other groups. He talked about his trips across the world, to meet with Igbo who loved Radio Biafra and wanted to meet one of the men behind it. This had taken him to United States, Canada, Sweden, France, Germany and other nations. He talked about the case IPOB instituted in Owerri against “Nigeria.”  The Radio Biafra director made it clear that he was not just angry with the leadership in Nigeria, which he said had neglected the Igbo people and the South East, as bad roads and decrepit infrastructure dot the landscape, but also with Igbo elite, who he said had compromised and, therefore, do not fight for the interest of the Igbo. He said that was why he always attacked them on Radio Biafra.  What’s his relationship with MASSOB? Kanu said that he had issues with the group’s leader, Ralph Uwazuruike, revealing that he once had a raw deal with MASSOB, whose members kidnapped him during one of his visits to Nigeria. According to him, he had come to Nigeria for his traditional marriage ceremony but ended in MASSOB gulag.  Why would MASSOB or anybody for that matter kidnap Kanu? “I was kidnapped because I told him the truth. I told him that he cannot print Biafran passport and be selling to people when he, as the leader of MASSOB, is travelling with Nigerian passport. You don’t deceive your people. I told him that carrying Biafran passport was tantamount to treasonable felony. It is not right as the leader of a group to be amassing wealth when people are poor,” he said.  The Radio Biafra director revealed two occasions he invited the MASSOB leader to London, where they talked about working together to help Igbo. Said he: “I told him that the best thing for us to do was to have a movement where we can create jobs for our people. And these are the ways we are going to do it. He never listened to any of those pieces of advice we gave. I advised him personally to turn the Freedom House he built with the money contributed by the people in his father’s compound to more or less an open house for the people to come, but that is his private residence.”  He expressed anger that MASSOB was infiltrated by the Federal Government, alleging: “It was then that it occurred to us that the powers-that-be, ostensibly the late Umar Yar’Adua, called the five eastern governors and asked them to ask Uwazuruike what he wanted as a sort of settlement so that he can stop what he was doing. That was why they were campaigning for the PDP. They campaigned for Ohakim the last time Ohakim contested in Imo State. I can tell you today even MASSOB members are revolting now because they know that their leadership is fraudulent and decaying. And unless they get away from the scene completely, we can never get Biafra because their own brand is tainted and we cannot have it anymore.”  When I asked Kanu how he escaped from MASSOB’s prison, he talked about how people he did not name, who learnt about his ordeal, gave the MASSOB leader a 24-hour ultimatum to release him or they would bring down his place.  On Radio Biafra, Kanu said it was a way to expose the bad happenings in Nigeria. He regretted that there was no time to take me to Radio Biafra studio, but boasted that it was equipped to international standard.  The Radio Biafra director revealed that Igbo, who believed in what he was doing, were ready to confront “the enemy head on,” saying that South-easterners were suffering in Nigeria.  In the course of our discussion, I never knew that time was flying, until I looked at my phone’s time and realised that it was 7pm. It was time to go. Kanu and Chukwuma drove me from Central London to Hayes area of London, where I stayed. He promised to get in touch with me any time he visited Nigeria.  In the early part of 2013, he visited and made the first broadcast of Radio Biafra from Nigeria. Using his laptop, Internet and other devices, he hooked onto London studio and broadcast to the world, he later boasted. It was during the visit that Saturday Sun interviewed him in Lagos.http://sunnewsonline.com/new/face-to-face-with-nnamdi-kanu-the-man-behind-radio-biafra/

Police arrest Fulani men for robbery in Ibadan

By Ola Ajayi, Deji Oke & Adesegun Olayinka  Ibadan—Three Fulani men were, yesterday, paraded along with other suspects for armed robbery by the Oyo State Police command.  The suspects (names withheld) were alleged to have been involved in series of robbery operations at Ajebamidele-Atogun road in Oyo State.  Also paraded by Mr. Leye Oyebade, the Police Commissioner, was a male student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, who allegedly broke into female hostels, raped and stole their properties.  About a week ago, students of the institution protested on major roads in Ogbomoso, calling on the police to check raping of female students in their hostels.  Asked why he took to breaking into female hostels, the 400-level student of the Department of Transport, said he only stole laptops and other items.  He added that the other two suspects paraded with him were not thieves but buyers of the items he stole.  He said: “The toy gun does not belong to me. It was left behind by my sister, who was staying with me. Police IG Denies Alleged Killing Of Biafra Protesters Despite Clear Evidence

The Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, has denied reports that officers of the Force had killed some members of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), during their protests across parts of the country.     Recall that following the arrest and continued detention of Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, by Nigeria’s secret Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), his supporters had organised massive protests across parts of Delta, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Bayelsa and Rivers States, calling for his immediate release.  Arase, in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Kolawole on Thursday in Abuja, described the reports as social media speculations, stressing that despite provocation, police officers had managed the situation with a high sense of responsibility and professionalism.  He called on the citizens to disregard the allegation by the two groups, describing it as false and a calculated attempt to attract undue attention and sympathy.  The IGP however, called on the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo to halt the ongoing protests in parts of the country by members of MASSOB and IPOB.  The IG asked Ohanaeze to save law-abiding and innocent citizens in the affected states from the hardship being meted to them by MASSOB and IPOB.  He reminded the protesters, particularly those embarking on violent street protests that, “such actions are criminalised by law, and anybody arrested will be treated as such under the appropriate legislations.”  The statement said: “The IG, while calling on the leadership of Ohanaeze to wade into these superfluous protests, to save the law-abiding and innocent citizens in the affected states from the hardship being meted by the groups, reminded those embarking on violent protests/assemblies that such actions are criminalised by law, and anybody arrested will be treated as such under the appropriate legislations.”http://www.igberetvnews.com/?p=24769
