Following the on-going trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki by the Code of Conduct
Tribunal on a 13-count charge bordering on alleged false declaration of assets, President
Muhammadu Buhari said that he might be impeached if he interferes in the judicial
process.
Buhari who spoke to cross section of journalists in New York during an interactive
session, said he would allow the court process to run its course.
Saraki is facing trial before the CCT for alleged false assets declaration. The tribunal has
fixed October 21-23 to hear the matter.
The senate president had already pleaded “not guilty” to the charges filed against him.
