Barely two weeks after Chief Olu Falae was abducted by Fulani herdsmen from his farm in Ondo State, the herdsmen have again attacked the farm of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation destroying about a one-kilometre stretch of maize plantation, with their cattle. Mr Bruno Akhigbodemen, manager of the farm, who conducted journalists round the farmland on Wednesday, said the herdsmen ran away before help could come after the workers they met in the farm had raised the alarm. Akhigbodemen said they came around 2am to carry out the devastating destruction.
Falae's Personal Assistant, Capt Moshood Raji, who told journalists that the Afenifere chieftain is not available to talk, added that Chief Falae had reported the case to the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mike Ogbodu, and that “he (CP) had directed the State CID to move in.’’ The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, when contacted, denied knowledge of the attack.
